Privacy Policy

Privacy-first by default.

Effective date: 2026-05-10. The Liked Library for YouTube extension does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal data. The public website may use aggregate GA4 page analytics as described below.

Data handled locally

The extension reads visible YouTube page content only inside the user's browser so it can scan liked videos, classify Shorts, apply filters, and export a local backup file when requested. Exports may include YouTube video links so users can revisit saved items later.

The extension may include these fields in a user-initiated export:

Exports are downloaded locally by the browser. They are not sent to the developer or to any third-party service by this extension.

Network activity

The extension itself does not call a developer backend and does not load remote code. It only runs on YouTube pages already opened by the user.

Website analytics

The public website at likedlibrary.xyz may use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate page views and link clicks. Website analytics does not run inside the Chrome extension, does not run on YouTube, and does not receive exported liked-video data, YouTube account data, scan results, filters, or cleanup actions.

Daily aggregate website reports may be sent to the publisher's Telegram chat through a protected serverless endpoint. Google service account keys and Telegram bot tokens are stored only as server-side deployment environment variables.

Permissions

The extension uses a content script on youtube.com to display the manager panel and interact with the Liked Videos playlist at the user's request. It does not request broad browser permissions.

Account actions

Bulk unlike actions happen only after explicit user confirmation and only on the user's YouTube Liked Videos playlist. These actions cannot be restored by the extension, so users should export a backup before cleanup.
